About Socorro

Socorro is a city in the Brazilian state of São Paulo. It is located at latitude 22 º 35´29 "south and longitude 46 º 31´44" west, with an altitude of 752 meters. Its population in 2004 was 33,700 inhabitants.

It is the river banks of the Fish and Serra da Mantiqueira. Currently, the city´s economy is facing the garment sector, agriculture and eco-tourism and adventure sport.
