About Olinda

Olinda is a municipality in the Brazilian state of Pernambuco. It is located in the Metropolitan Region of Recife, and has a population of 375 559 inhabitants. It is one of the best preserved colonial cities in Brazil. It was the second Brazilian city to be declared a Historical and Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 1982, after Ouro Preto.
