It is the Museu de Arte Sacra you find some of the most fantastic antique items of past centuries. The museum works attached to the Church of Nossa Senhora da Lapa and holds a rich collection. is used by the Catholic community in the month of August, with masses, processions and other celebrations.

Also known as the Church of Nossa Senhora da Lapa and Boa Morte was built in 1752 by Baltazar promise of Mendes de Araujo, being adapted to house, in 1992, the Museum of Sacred Art of Angra dos Reis.

The church still retains the original painting was listed by the Altar Mor IPHAM in December 1954.
The Museum of Sacred Art is used by the Catholic community in the month of August, with masses, processions and other celebrations commemorating the dogma of the Assumption.

Owner of one of the most representative collections of this segment in Latin America, the Museum of Sacred Art has approximately 2,000 pieces dating from the seventeenth century to the early twentieth century, including silverware, costumes and pictures.

Many sacred objects that make up this collection belonged to the now defunct brotherhoods of the Blessed Sacrament, Our Lady of the Rosary of Saint Michael and Souls and Our Lady.

The Museum is located at Rua Dr. Bastos, s / n, and the center is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 12pm and from 13:30 to 19h.
