Inaugurated on August 21, 1954 to commemorate the fourth centenary of the city, the Ibirapuera Park is the largest urban park in the city of Sao Paulo and one of the largest, second only to the Carmo Park and Park Anhanguera. The Ibirapuera has thirteen track and lighted courts, as well as clues for Cooper, walks and relaxation, all integrated into the cultural area. Its area is 1 584 km ², with three interconnected ponds and occupy 15,700 square meters. The name comes from the Tupi Ibirapuera, ibirá puera means tree and means what it once was. The region where today preserves the Ibirapuera Park before it was just a swampy area full of farms and pastures. In addition to sports and exercise, the visitor can also choose from the Planetarium, the Museum of Modern Art Pavilion, the Japanese Pavilion and Pond, just to name a few. Another question that fascinates and impresses in Ibirapuera Park architectures are scattered throughout the park. Designed by Oscar Niemeyer, the architectures preserve the cultural and modern concept that St. Paul has. Ibirapuera Park is located on Avenida Pedro Alvares Cabral, s / n.
