Bombinhas is a municipality in the state of Santa Catarina. It is located at latitude 27 º 07´54 "south and longitude 48 º 31´40" west, with an altitude of 32 meters. Its population in 2004 was 10 759 inhabitants. Hidden in the capital Florianopolis and Camboriú two crowded summer destinations of Santa Catarina, Bombinhas calls attention to the nature preserve. With beaches and rain forest vegetation for almost all sides, the city has strict rules that prevent environmental degradation and ensure clean landscapes even in season, when it receives about ten times its permanent population, which is around nine thousand inhabitants. It is the high season that Bombinhas literally on fire, drawing from several Brazilian states and many Argentines who come in search of beaches - from the bustling Bombs and pumps to Zimbros quiet, and Canto Grande Morrinhos. The folklore can be enjoyed even in the Family Schurmann Environmental Park, an area that combines ecology, culture and environmental education.
